Track nite/cool air/fuse 11
What a beautiful evening down here. Got to Greer Dragway about 6:15. It was 69 degrees, 50% humidity...just gorgeous.
Prior to tonite, my best 1/8th passes were 9.044 (78.889), 9.067 (78.629), 9.084 (no mph) and 9.091 (78.683). All in 80-85 degree air.
Tonite I ran 8.920 (79.383), 8.936 (79.488), 8.949 (79.174), 8.958 (79.273), 8.965 (79.135) and 8.974 (76.852).
Funny thing, my slowest run of the day 8.974 (76.852) was my best 60' at 2.002. Also my best 330' at 5.789. I guess HAL thought I was too fast and shut me down. Rest of my 60's were between 2.039 and 2.057....
My first runs were 8.965, 8.949, 8.958 and 8.974. Had some cool down between runs.
THEN, I pulled fuse 11, talked to a guy with a CTS-V that couldn't get below 8.90, and then ran two last runs.
8.920 and 8.936 back to back.
I think there may be something to the "pull fuse 11" thing.
