Strange is it on a hill/plateau? Maybe I'm just reading the topo wrong. Changed to only their advertised 1002'

The Pacific Raceways Drag Strip is an NHRA certified and sanctioned 1/4-mile racing surface, with a full 1/2-mile runoff area.
In April 2004 the racing surface was completely laser-leveled with a new concrete surface constructed for the first 660 feet, and a new asphalt surface for the remainder of the 1/4-mile.
The Drag Strip is at an altitude of 150 feet above sea level, and is bordered on both sides by a dense oxygen-producing forest of pine trees. This makes the air at Pacific Raceways exceptionally good for extracting every bit of horsepower from race engines.

It's not on a plateau for sure.. The immediate surroundings are pretty flat for the area its in. If anything its in a very shallow valley.

With the extra long runoff do they care if you keep the pedal to the metal for awhile after you cross the 1/4 mile point?
