    Tech Question - AirBag Reset?

After removing and replacing my passenger front seat, I still get Airbag codes. I beleive the seat/airbag needs to be reset/re-calilbrated.

Any of you brainiacs have a solution to this?

I am not the only one with reset issues....am I?

    Thanks,

    Lou

My dealer recently put in a new seat motor under warranty and now I get the code if no one sits in the seat. I really hate to take it back to them, as I'm out of warranty now and it's really hard to drop the car off. So, I'm hoping someone might have something we could try w/o Starscan.

You need to check the airbag (ORC)codes and the OCS codes for OCS negative weight or OCS not calibrated. If you get those codes you need to get the OCS seat weights and do the OCS verification test with the StarScan or StarMobile. This will recalibrate the OCS system.

Sorry, you need the StarScan or StarMobile and the seat weights. No other way of doing it that I know of.

Sorry Starscan is the only way. Cost me $154 two weeks ago to reinitialize my passenger airbags! Stealership even charged me $17 for shop supplies to plug in the Starscan. They forgot to kiss me first and will never see me again!

My passenger seat is doing it too.
I assume you guys that paid are over the 50k miles?
Airbags and restraints are covered for 5 years 50k miles not the 3 yr/ 36 for the bumper to bumper.
