    Stroker as daily driver?

I knows that it will generally be more beneficial to spend money on a new engine and keep the maggie body, but would this kind of set up be good for a daily driven car? I'm not gonna go the stroker route until my motor blows or is paid off . I was just curious as to an engine with that kind of power can be driven effectively around town and in rush hour. BTW im shooting to get the 392.

I have 45,000 miles plus 2 diff blowers and had a long time with nitrous. My car has been fine. It is a great dd. It's when u add a blower and the part throttle kinda goes out the window. Hll my car is still a DD

Yup. IMHO a NA 392 pushing 540hp/580trq ish at the fly like mine is about as strong as I'd want to go in a daily driver. When its wet outside things can get... interesting. Just got to be more alert and use your judgement.

N/A stroker as a daily driver= Great (Had one for 2 years)

blown stroker at like 5-6 psi= probably pretty fun

blown stroker with 10-18 psi= better own a trailer and forget you own the car for DD

No issues here. Its partly how you set it up, too. I don't use mine as a daily driver regularly, but I do sometimes.

One thing I really appreciate is the fact that my throttle curve is desensitized. Did that for road racing and man is the finer control ever appreciated on the road. Drove CoolVanilla's car and he had the more typical cowabunga pedal setup and while impressive, its tougher to get the finer details down without putting on a show.

Good point Matt. I've since had mine dialed down; I almost ate dinner with a barrier wall once, just trying to merge onto the freeway. I didn't have enough pedal control in order to make the speed without getting all kinds of squirrelly.

Pedal control adjustments, and keeping most of the traction control ON for your daily driving tunes... and its a piece of cake. even snowy/icy roads!
