Stock Exhaust Rattle

Noticed that my exhaust rattle when I start the car and the engine rpms is dropping after it initially revs up.

Even when I tap the throttle and bring the rpms up to 2000rpms the rattle occurs when the rpms are dropping, never when the rpms are going up.

The rattle occurs mid way towards the front of the car from underneath.

I've searched and haven't come up with anything, anyone have a solution for this.

Some people said it was the loose driveshaft heatsheild bolts doing it in another thread, I was wondering if anyone had this problem and what the solution was.....

Any thoughts guys?

It's the brace under the exhaust by the x-pipe.Loosen the clamps at the x-pipe,jack the ehaust up and retighten the clamps.

I hate to be a complete PITA, but can you pinpoint where that is so I can show the monkey at the daler where it is occuring?

Is there a stock exhaust photo you can doctor up with a circle of where and what to do?

It's the only X-member under the exhaust.

Well, just got back from the dealer and there is a rattle somewhere inside the exhaust just before the big muffler and behind the x-pipe.

There is nothing external rattling at all and it is tight, and no rattles at all when you slap the exhaust with your palm.

It is internal, not covered by the warranty and the new muffler which comes with the x-pipe in one unit cost.......you sitting down........CDN$977....

I almost crapped myself....I can take the tight rattle for a while.

Isn't the price crazy? Is there any other options?

Yeah, I dunno whats up with that, sounds expensive! I've been getting a bit of an exhaust rattle, but it's only when I hit a reasonably sized bump or take a corner sharper than I should.
