    What's the advantage?
    How hard to install?
    How much?

Much better pedal feel, firmer and more exact. The rubber lines expand under pressure, very little mind you. But once you've gone with the braided, you'll really feel the difference. Piec of cake to install. BTW, you may need to get adapters for the rears. I'm not very certain about that, but I suggest you ask the vendor.

Contact: Todd TCE, he's the man.

Yup, significantly better feedback during braking as pedal feel increases the more you apply them.

Thanks Cam, are you stating that indeed TCE already produces SS line for the LX OEM calipers, or that they will custom build?

    regards

Steel braided lines won't help you stop any faster but they will make your perception of your brakes a whole lot more favorable. You will get a much more firm, positive feel when you stomp on the brakes. You will love the feel.

Lines should cost you around $100 I believe. http://zeckhausen.com should have a set to fit the LX platform on their web site. However if I were you I would talk to Todd at tceperformanceproducts.com -- a supporting vendor here -- over the phone and ask him to sell you a set of lines only. Todd sold me my big brake kit, as well as the kits for a few other folks here (Armadillo, Obiwan, Cam). The kit requires a little jiggering but once you get it in, typically, you're in love.

Just to let everyone know, well most of you probably already know but if you have a SXT or SE you can upgrade to the RT calipers and rotors. Rotors are 1" bigger in diameter. Calipers have 2 pistons instead of just the 1. Also you dont have to upgrage the rear brakes to the RT cause they are pretty much the same the only difference is the RT rear rotors are a hair thicker than the SXT or SE's. To do the upgrade on the SXT or SE you MUST have 18" rims or bigger so the calipers fit. The RT calipers will bolt right on.
