    SRT8 Maiden 1/4 Mile Voyage!

took it to a "midnight mayhem" night at cordova raceway in cordova, IL ...right outside of moline and the quad cities if you're familiar with that area...

best run of the night was 13.4 at 104...was a cool night, but very humid air, track altitude of 620 or so feet...so im sure DA doesn't count for much, engine temps were high due to long lines and i have no fan/t-stat mods yet...just a corsa cat-back...

here's a vid running against my good friends C5 z51 w/patriot heads, comp cam 224/224 (or somethin like that), longtubes no cats, tuned "red rocket" as i call it haha (inside joke) ...enjoy!

edit: had he caught better traction he would've taken me by alot more...he ran consistent 12.4's most of the night (but trapping about 116)

Your times are about right for a almost stock SRT. The thermostat and fan mod will help you out and get you to your first number in the 12's. Nice vid, and I'm sure you had a great time.

I have noticed that Humidity is much worse than heat.We have had 100% humidity for the last few days....felt like driving through a lake.Step on the gas and there's just nothing there. Can't wait for fall.

The air is lighter - less dense - when it's humid...regardless of what the baseball announcers say about the muggy air being heavy and the ball not flying as well. So you are right Hemi31, but 100% RH's are only seen in fog or during a rain shower. The dew point is much more significant than the relative humidity or % saturated.

And good work JP300C your black C looked awesome going down the track!
