Exclamation SLP Loud Mouth II Muffler bites the dust!!!!

Alright, For the past few days I've noticed what sounds like a heat shield coming lose under the car.

Well I swing by the dealer to have them toss it up on a rack and take a look and also to make sure I don't have a cat going bad.

Well, as the car gets up, I find this............

I was reading on their site it should be, but I have to send them the Muffler and then they will decide if they want to replace it or fix it.

I don't think I'll be too happy if they seriously expect me to unmount it and send it in while I wait for a replacement.

They should send me a new muffler, I'll send em the broken one, if they feel i need to pay, At that point I will.

I however refuse to drive without a muffler.

Thats BS LazyPD I agree they should send you a new muffler and have you send the old one back once you get it, the pictures should be evidence enough that the product was defective!!

Looks like the welds just let go.. I've heard of only one other case of that happening, so hopefully its just a freak occurrence.. If I can manage to find a dealer with the Loudmouth I in stock, I will be ordering mine soon!

I also had a service tech write what they found (welds gave out, no signs of damage to muffler or components)

He's currently going through the LAPD hiring process as we speak so I did him some favors, he did some for me :-D

Wow that sucks. I have all three sets of SLP mufflers (LM1, LM2, Powerflo). I used some of them on my old Mustang, and am currently reusing the Powerflos on my Magnum. Haven't had any problems with mine, and the LM2 and Powerflos I have are about 2 years old now.
