    Question SLP 25% Underdrive Pulley-Opinions?

    Hello all... I am reaching out to the LX community for some opinions. Anyone who has the SLP 25% underdrive pulley:

    How has that bolt on been for you?

    Would you recommend it for a power/torque ad on?

    Any complications or difficulties installing?

    Any drawbacks as a result of putting it on?

    I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on installing one at the end of the month, but just want to make sure it's worth it, or should I get another bolt on in the same price range?

    Thanks LX Comm.

    I have the SLP underdrive pulley, have not done any dyno #'s, I believe it frees up about 8hp. Funny thing I can not remember what the steering was before the change, however the steering is some what stiff, might be normal just make sure tire press. are 32, charging system is ok, A/C blows 50degrees out of the vents, does not feel that cool, there are threads about lxers having to recharge the A/C, I think mine needs recharging, All in all I believe the money was worth spending for the pulley.

    I have noticed that mine runs a bit hotter with the A/C on when I put in my underdrive pulley. Unfortunately I cannot tell the difference in HP as I installed a new high stall converter as part of my engine rebuild. It really feels faster but then again it could be because I am actually running on all cylinders for a change.

    Only "Bad" side effect here that has been noticed. Can be "worked around". When at HI load at idle voltage can drop down reading from the evic.

    HI Load= Radiator Hi Speed fans running, Foot on brake pedal, headlamps on, AC on HI, Both Heated seats on Hi, Dont Run the AC on Hi in the Car

    Again only at Hi load at Idle has this been seen...You can set the idle speed up.
    Work around= Keep Radiator Hi Speed Fans set to turn on at a higher engine temp; Dont run Both heated seats;
