People waiting for AWD???

Or maybe people are pissed that it will take over 3 months to get a car if they ORDER it?People waiting for AWD???
I have been waiting now since August 3rd for my 300C. I talk to the salesman every
now and then, and he has said that alot of people don't have the patience to wait that long
for a car, and they cancel their ORDER to get another car off the lot, and its not always
a 300 either. He said most people end up getting a Jeep because now that the weather
is getting colder, most people are thinking snow.

Drive to survive...
I just wish they would break out the sales figures by trim level (ie: SE vs. SXT vs. RT).
Also guys, sales are always better during the summer/spring months...

I think IDsmoker has it right. When I look at the inventories around my area its all SX SXT. The sales are clearly strong for the R/T. Look at the "Special Edition" 300, no hemi. I bet demand for 300C is far greater than the 300 special. Not to mention that the Hemi gets nearly the same mileage as the 6 (if you aren't racing it).
I will believe sales are truly slow when the dealer inventories are high. When people no longer have to ORDER R/Ts and 300Cs, then mabye there is a demand problem.

yeah, that would be my guess too, the DROP in sales is likely because of the lack of hemi's for them, RT's and 300C's don't stay on the lots for very long, when I bought mine mine and one other RT had just come off the truck that day, and the other one was already bought earlier, the SXT's however most dealers seem to have a good 10+ sitting around on the lots cause everyone is looking for RT's.
360 Intakez CAI / Magnaflow catback exhaust / Black headlights / LED tailights / 20" Charger SRT wheels
Remove side molding / Custom stereo with indash computer / custom painted interior trim
Could just be the initial excitement is over. Could be settling down to more realistic numbers for these cars.

What ever the cause, it's good news for me. I'll be the market for a Touring or Special Edition at the end of the year and a little more barganing power doesn't hurt. Sales are down for GM and Ford also. Maybe high fuel prices are starting to take thier toll.
No, i think E8502 is right... winter is creeping in, summer usually is a sales spike. Winter is a little slower, epecially with christmas rolling around, people are worring about little things right now.Originally Posted by 67Cuda

How do they base their sales? Is it per ORDER or per delivery? It seems like if those brampton slackers picked up the slack sales would increase. And WTF's with the selling at/over MSRP garbage about. Start selling realisticly and the numbers will jump at least 50%.
Those Brampton slackers as you call it are working some long hours putting these cars out as fast as they can. About 1100 a day working just two shifts. Get a clue before you start calling people slackers. A large number of the employees are working 60+ hours a week putting these cars together for us. I have taken a good bit of my car apart and put it back together and I for one would not want to do that kind of work for a living. It's hard work in some very uncomfortable positions.Originally Posted by Fred
The over msrp stuff will go away as demand slows down. This is America, you have freedom of choice. If the price is too much for you go somewhere else and buy one of these cars. Fact is people are willing to pay over msrp for these cars so they charge over msrp. If you don't want to pay the price, don't. It really is that simple.
I can't wait for the chance to go to the plant and shake the hands of some of the hard working people who put my car together. DC management should be standing out on the line wiping the sweat off of the employees forehead for them. Slackers my a**.
