    Safety in Th BX

I am moving to the BX very soon due to work. I am not liking it but i found a place over near the 179st and the beagan. how safe is it and i do have a cover to put the car under and my bike. I am still a bit scared as i dont want any thing to happen my Mag. I have a locked gate and cover and i am a NRA member in good standing but you cant be home all night or all day. I dont know if i should be so uptight.

Yes thats right the major deagan, i found a pretty good deal on a house right off the Major deagan. I am from NY but moved away 25 years ago and now i have to move back due to the commute and cost of tolls and fuel. If i was to stay out in Pa it will cost me 900.00 and month just to get to work and take 2.5 hours one way. I cant do that any more i am getting old or to old for that.. So i have decided to take the plunge. Yes you have to be from this part of the country to understand the BX and several other prefixs.

Here's a preliminary welcome back then. I don't hear too many stories of people moving into the city to save money, usually it's the other way around . .LOL. We have some members in the Bronx, they will probably chime in soon enough with specifics on the area.

The city is a bargain if you work there. I loved living In Pa . With cost rising as fast as we can count its a bargain when you look at it. Time on the road tolls, Fuel and dont forget the nutbags out there that just try and piss you off every day. Mr Brookline i am looking forward to meeting and the others. I had to fill up every day at 40 bucks the toll was 20.00 time 2.5 hours. After you add that up and being 50 and not looking forward to the drive any more starting to consider retirement options due the way the company is headed. I figured i would pair down a bit and work another 10 years if the company stays in business that long. Then move west and chill.

Well i do have Pa plates. The only issue i am having is i want to park my car off the streets so in looking for a home thats my number one must have. I work on cars on the side and need the parking. I will be in the city firth thing tomorrow and i will be looking a little further north and East of the bX. I have three cars. My dream car is a Boat tail that i just got and there is no way thats going to see the curb in any town. The mag i have never parked over night out side sense new so . The subaru is my daily. So i have issues to over come. If any of you guys are around tomorrow i will be in the city have lunch at Patsies on 117st 118st and first ave. Ill be there at 1pm
