About LinkBacksI saw this when I was leaving this morning and actually thought it had to do with the battery. I put it in diagnostic mode and the engine bogged down and almost died. Battery showed 13.8 - 13.9 volts. Then I thought maybe it meant remote keyless entry. After all, the car is almost a year and a half old. That's really not too long if you consider that I'm still on the original battery on my Chevy that's five and a half years old. Do our remote batteries really die that fast?

RKE is you Remote Key battery. I got the same thing. When I opened mine up to see what battery it takes I found that one of the connectors solder was loose. Re-soldered it and everything is fine now, didn't have to replace the battery. Just something to check.

This has been mentioned a few times in the past.
I got this message once just a few months after getting the car - haven't seen it again. IIRC, this will sometimes happen if the remote is used at the edge of the remote range.National Sarcasm Association - like we need your support.

True, but he said he had hunch it had something to do with remote keyless battery - he was half way there!
