    Removing Pine Sap

Any good suggestion here? I do park under a pine tree. Don't have a choice. The hot days leave me coated. The only thing I have found that disolves the sap is Isopropyl Alcohol. Using it much on the finsih concerns me.

    Thoughts? Suggestions? Flames?

well the obvious is to find another place to park but since you said you have no choice....

I would invest in a decent car cover. Pain in the A$$ but better than washing and removing tar every few days.

wd-40 and then a little wax or detailer after. I have the same problem here in NC. Get them before they harden.

I just got a glob somehow. No trees over Maggie....I dont know. I tried Goo B Gone with little success. I then used 3M bug and tar remover. Worked like a champ!

The various bug & tar removers usually work albeit with a lot of rubbing, I don't know about the newer paints but pine sap absolutely disolves the older paints. Get it off ASAP.

I have had good luck using Naptha, available at all hardware stores, also good on clothes. Will not hurt your paint.

Just removed some tree sap with your WD40 trick. Than used detailer and it did the trick. Thanks
