Radio problem

RT, 10/04 build, AM/FM/Cass/6 disc (RAK) with Sirius.

I normally have it set to Sirius, but on a few occasions it has reverted to FM when I start the car. When this happens there is no sound. The volume control is active, but nothing comes out of the speakers. The first couple of times it happened, I just cycled it back to Sirius and everything was fine. Today, there was no sound on any setting. I turned off the car, removed the key, and opened the door to turn off the radio, but it was still quiet when I restarted. It finally started working after I turned the radio off and back on.

Has anyone else experienced this or know of a solution?

This is a fairly common problem. I mentioned it to the dealer. There is a TSB relating to an upgraded subwoofer. He checked mine and determined that I already had the updated model. I mentioned that I had the old computer software, and that maybe if they updated my version that would take care of this problem as well as my outside temperature gauge sometimes taking long periods of time to update.

Unfortunately, he had some difficulty scanning the new software. As a result, I will now be taking my car back in on Monday so they can UPDATE the software.

Note: SInce I had the vehicle at the dealer, which was about five weeks ago, the radio hasn't acted up. Is this just a coincidence? Who knows.

The dealer said they upgraded the software and it hasn't happened since.

You know mine does this too, but it only does it if I am using the Uconnect when I turn the car off... Then when I come back to the car and start it, the radio is on FM preset 1...

It stays on Sat. radio everything time I restart it, unless I am using the Uconnect and talking to someone when I put the car in park and turn the car off...
