Cute little guy (or gal). The other one doesn't look like it enjoys having the bird use it as a perch.

Kind of funny, they use to hate each other. And now the bird just chills with the dog. He just chills on his back or on his head, when they go outside. Damn bird likes the dog more than me.

CONGRATS on your new addition. Adorable!!!! and yes, the 'retriever' with the bird on his back is a great shot too. Have fun with the new puppy. Ok, here I go: Warning vet tech/nurse comments to follow: Don't forget to get the puppy vaccinated for the basics, social with people and other dogs (that you know) early, and take lots of pictures because they grow so fast!!! Ok, I am done. HAVE FUN!

That is a cutie!!!!!! Are you gonna crop his ears? I did not do my Dobies, he was such a doofus they just fit him. I had him for 13 years and had to put him down due to complications from the bloat. Be careful Dobies are gulpers with food and water. This is not good as large breed dogs can ingest large amounts of air when they gulp and are highly suceptible to the bloat.

Have not decided on the ear cropping yet, but need to soon. Last one had the big floppy ears. And all before that have had their ears cropped.

VERY VERY GOOD POINT!! An elevated food dish as the pooch grows will help prevent this..
When the dog is grown the food bowl should be at chin level to it.
    Hope this helps!

Cute puppy. I vote for not cropping the ears...it just seems kinda mean to me.

All the best with the new Pup. And I'm in total agreement with the raised food bowls. The other thing I do is (if you feed them dry food) is to soak it for a few hours and let it soften up and expand. That prevents it from blowing up in their stomach before it digests.

Can't look, don't make me look. I'm a sucker for puppies. Love that puppy breath.

    Congratulations.
