precautions to take for car that has been sitting for months

i will be hopefully getting my car back within the next week or so. the car has been at the body shop for at least 5 months now. the car has been started a few times in this time frame but for the most part it has been sitting there. what should i do to prevent any damage to the car. i dont remember how much gas was in the tank when i brought it to the body shop. any info would be greatly appreciated. i just dont want my car to be all screwed up after all this time not having it then having to have some major work done.

You might want to check how much fuel is in it (don't know how good it is) and I would do an oil change. This thread may help, I know it wasn't stored but if it has been sitting for awhile. Storing The Magnum
