PLEASE Help With Shaker Hood install

The Shaker hood is almost 90% installed but we have some questions about the long thing seal and the plug that came with my kit.

As pictured in MOPOWERS picture, its above the HEMI Emblems and slightly to the right (both the long thin seal and the plug) Could some one tell me where these items are installed...

The above write up won't help with his questions, Bubba is asking about parts that are for the sealed intake system. The write up is for the standard installation.

I can help with the rubber plug part, as I asked Mo' about it.

It goes in the stock air box, under the air filter - it seals up the hole where the silencer pipe was.

Mo' also told me to remove any rubber plugs or boots that are under the stock air box, to allow the air box to sit lower under the hood. You also do not use the stock mounting bolt that was on the stock air box.

As for the long thin rubber seal, I have no idea. Maybe it goes under the hood scoop to seal against the base mount plate?

I have not gotten that far yet, I am still painting my Shaker.

    Good luck,

    Bob

HAWAI RT Thanks, that part was simple. The part of putting the shaker on the engine block (sealed shaker) is causing me problems since I dont have instructions.

Bob, thanks for the tip! Is there a complete instruction set for the sealed system? Can you possible PDF it and post it on the forums or mail it to me.

Did he provide the extra bolts for relocating the air box.. thanks again...

If anyone else has tips please let me know. The top part, with the pictures posted onthe forum made it really simple but the bottom of the sealed system is giving me some headaches.

If anyone can post pictures of where the thin long seal goes please help me out.

One last question, does anyone know, who has the sealed system, what the manifold looks like? Can you please point it out in my picture? (This is the complete kit)

or is the manifold in this picture?

I PM'd you with all the information I had, hope it helps.

There are no instructions for the optional sealed intake system, MO' really needs to come up with some instructions for this system. For the extra money we paid for the sealed intake system, there should be some type of instructions.........................

There are no magic bolts to lower the stock air box, just try to get it as low as possible. Remove anything in your way.

When you installed the 4 mount studs in the intake manifold, you did push the spark plug wire looms aside, didn't you? Those wire looms do NOT go under the mounting studs..........now would be a good time to switch over to the shorty spark plug wires and get rid of that rats nest of wires.

We removed the bolts that hold up the stock hood engine cover and put the bolts in there.. we kept the little clips that hold the spark plug wires in place.. do i need to push them to the back of the engine?

When you install the bolts (into the intake manifold) push the clips for the spark plug wires out of the way. Do not put the bolts into those clips.
Yes , I did order the sealed intake system - like you did.

The manifold I am talking about is the black plastic intake manifold, the part that you screw in the bolts for the shaker base.

    Your paint job looks great.

the 4" doughnut seal goes around your oil filler tube before installing the engine cover base. The long skinny seal sticks under the scoop to seal it to the base. I sent the rest of the info by PM
