    Petition to abolish Front License plates in California?

    Anyone aware of this petition??

    as much as I'd like for that to happen, the reasons seem lame to have it changed.

    I have 3 cars with no front plates, so would love to see it go away. Given the proliferation of photo enforcement as revenue generators, most municipalities won't want to give it up. I also think it's unlikely that the reasons stated will sway the powers that be, but I signed anyway. Ya never know. There's a minuscule chance they will pay attention.

    Sometime in the late 70s or 80s, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts decided to drop front plates. Didn't last too long. They were back to requiring front and rears before too long.

    California is not going to drop front plates. Just not gonna happen.

    lol... looks like they were really reaching for 'good' reasons to abolish the front plates.... I needed a laff this afternoon..
