    people with tinted windows

I'm having my front windows tinted on the Magnum Tuesday. I can't decide if I want to have the front windshield tinted at the top. My wife's Taurus has the strip at the top and it looks good on her car but don't know what it would look like on the Mag. I was trying to find some pictures to see what it may look like and to see if I like it. Anybody out there had this done? If so can I see what it looks like? Your thoughts are welcomed also. Thanks alot.

If they lay a straight cut edge across the windshield it'll be wider at the outside ends and appear to sweep down in an arc. The bottom edge has to be cut to a curve to maintain a constant width. I had to make a trim template for the shop because I didn't like it swept down and wider towards the side.

Those issues aside, I love my tinted strip.

Here's the best pic I have.

I dint tint the front window, because I thought the window was to small and I dont like having to move my head to see red lights, I did 0 percent on all the back windows on top of the stock tint, and then 20 percent on the two front windows that were already stock tinted. Needless to say I cant see out the back in the dark

    Thanks egl4.

I think it was like $120 + $60 for the front since it should not be done.

unless have a prescription, most states its illegal to tint he windshield past the asa mark or about 4 inches.

The tint guy here uses a jig out of a strip of wood and a razor blade. Lays the tint on the outside of the windshield and then LIGHTY scores the tint. Then applies it to the outside.

First, raise the wipers, and cut the film on the outside at the BOTTOM of the windshield. Then slide the film up to the top & figure out how far down you want it, then make your top cut. This will transfer the bottom curvature of the windshield to the bottom of your tint strip. Gets rid of that "frown look".

I would recommend applying the tint to the INSIDE, though... j/k
