    People with HID's

Do others constantly flash their lights at you?

Last night was my first night out with the new HID's. I have 35w low and fogs at 6000k. I know they are bright, but I dont think they are out of alignment. FYI my car is lowered so if anything my lights should be a little low.

Can someone point me to how-to on headlight adjustment so I can at least check and see.

I occasionally get flashed, usually on country roads that aren't lit.

Only occassionally, and usually when cresting a small hill, etc. Otherwise the aim looks pretty good and the cut-off (when I'm following a car) is lower than the trunk of the car.

Yea, after getting flashed 5 times I checked the cutoff with the car in front of me. It was just above license plate and below trunk. So what gives, is it just these farmers around here are not used to HID's?

I get that once in a while and my HID projectors are stock with the daytona..

There is a thread somewhere on verifying alignment.. but even if they are fine, some people will do it anyhow.. flash them back.. lol..

I never did.. I have them in my lows and fogs. My wife did tell me that one time she was driving my car, and i guess someone got tired of the lights shining in their rear view mirrors so they pulled off the road so she could pass them. After that they pulled out behind her and turned their high beams on. Too bad we have auto dimming rear view mirrors huh.. .. but anyway she said she never flashed her brights to let them know it was her low beams

I get flashed often here in winnipeg with 6k lows and I wish I could retrofit my headlamps for a better beam. Im also thinking the chrome/silverish housings reflect more than the blk housed ones.

Proper factory designed HIDs have light shielding inside the projector assembly and avoid shining light in the eyes of oncoming drivers. I have two cars with Chrysler designed HID and have never been flashed, even with one of them lowered.

Can you show me a pic of the "light shield" because my lights have a "shield" for the lows, but not the highs. Its like a little bowl that surrounds the tip of the bulb.
