    Peanut Butter?

Saw a commercial last night stating that peanut butter will remove road tar. I doing some research I found that others have used this remedy to take wax off black trim and bumpers as well as bugs from paint.

Anyone familiar with this practice and/or shed light to it. OR is this and urban legend

I would think it would be the oils in combination with the slight grain to it, kinda like a real fine polish

Yep, combo of the peanut oil combined with the fine grain of the ground peanuts theoretically would work great and not do any harm. Hints from Heloise strikes again! I hardly ever buy $4 bottles of crap cleaners in the supermarket any more. Make home brews according to the Heloise Web Site and they work friggin' great without fail and they all include "Look-Outs" as far as what to use them for or not to use them for. The store-bought stuff is all color and scent additives that don't mean squat and the majority of the money you spend on them is to offset the cost of "packaging and advertising".

I can spread PB on the car and then let the dogs lick it off. No effort there. Yee Haa!

The Magnum has a soul. It has a personality, something all too lacking in the automotive transportation appliances everybody else is offering.

Perfect, we ran out of games at my daughter's birthday party, so we lined the kids up on a bench, put peanut butter on the arch soles of their feet and let the Great Dane loose. The first kid to lose all the PB and not fall off the bench laughing got the prize!!
Uh oh, can I get in trouble for this??
PB does remove gum from carpet also!!

No trouble as long as you put the peanut butter only on their feet and not your own...LOL

I love the crunchy but have went creamy. I do the "natural" PB now. Calories & fat are same but the type of additives and fat are supposed to make the dif.
It also melts alot more on toast or bagel.
