    part number help.. FnkyChkn.... please.

    I have a 2005 300C 5.7L with OEM HID headlights.

bought the car as a lease return in 04-06.

I was preping the car for my Halo install this past weekend and discovered that the turn signal/parking lights wiring on both sides have been sliced and diced and are in bad, bad shape..

they are crimped/soldered/taped and in general screwed up..

I know that the connections are "pig tails"

    so I need to know.

    1. is this the right part number for them: 5139 054AA

    2. does this part number include the socket for the Highbeam and Turn signal or is that a separate part number...

what i need is the turn signal socket and the pig-tail harness behind it that goes to the main harness connector..

looking at the parts manual it appears that 5139 054AA is the correct part..

    can someone verify for me??

connector repair kit, front park/turn signal lamp (300C except export): 05017127AA
    park/turn signal socket: 05139886AA
high beam bulbs have integral socket.

not sure if 05139054AA applies to your vehicle. i think it's for non-HID (not very clear). i'll try to get my parts guru to specify it tomorrow.

the harness is spliced and in bad shape and the turn signal socket is melted as a result......

I think the car might have been in an accident..

carfax doesn't indicate anything, but I have seen a few things with the front end that leads me to believe it was...

also might explain some of the airbag issues I have had..

I had the frame checked, and the entire front end examined when the Semi backed into the car and I had to replace the fasica (cosmetic damage)...

so this does not surprise me in the least...

could also be he/she spliced in LED load resistors as there were 2 spliced into the rear lights when I bought the car...

not sure if 05139054AA applies to your vehicle. i think it's for non-HID (not very clear). i'll try to get my parts guru to specify it tomorrow.
Ok, since I now have sales code descriptions activated on my DealerConnect, I did some browsing on a few #'s with the e-Fiche. Sales code LMP is HID Lights. The correct part # for the park/turn socket is 5139887AA. The 886AA you found Fnky is for LMT, which is Halogen Headlamps. The complete wiring is a little more complicated. I'd recommend you use the VIN for this, but that's using STARParts, which I don't have access to. However, since the 2006 diagram has better series code descriptions, 5139054AA is for Series S or X, Line C or F.
Series S is a 300C. Series X is a 300C SRT8. Line C is a 300 RWD, Line F is a 300 AWD. Without the sales code, it's not a sure thing, but by the line and series codes, maybe... Confirm with the VIN first.

    bump for Fnky.

    TBird:

I have HID's don't need the Turn signal Socket part only the wiring harness to it and the high beams..

it's a pig-tail, in so far as I can see..

if not, then I need the connector on the turn signal wire, the one that plugs into the socket..

the socket is fine, it's the connector that's a mess..
