    To Paint or to Pillar

OK I screwed up trying to put on chrome pillars, now I am thinking that instead of buying a whole new set, which I have to do for the one that I screwed up.

Maybe I would go for a custom black paint job, tying my windows together.

Well with the help of power = hemi, I have two pics I would like you to choose from.

    Thanks and appriciate your feedback

I think the paint would look better if the front pillars remained original color.

It might just be the picture, but I'm kinda liking the blacked out look. Seems to make the car look longer and sleeker.

Hi Carsten, I think if you keep the chrome side mouldings and bumper strip then go with the chrome pillar posts too.

If you paint the pillar posts black then remove the side mouldings and bumper strips and tint the front windows, tail lights and get a pair of SXT headlights.

I have IR and REALLY like the black look. If it was me, I'd leave the A pillar IR.

I'm with some of the above. The black looks better but I'd leave the front pillar red. The lines all seem to go from front to back. The chrome posts break it up and it seems to lose some of the flow. They look nice, but not my first choice.

Paint from B pillar back. Really. Do it now. Is it done yet? Come on.

The Magnum has a soul. It has a personality, something all too lacking in the automotive transportation appliances everybody else is offering.

IMHO, leave the front and rear pillars stock, paint the middle ones and keep the top line even with the top of the rear window rather than up on the roof, i.e., do the doors and not the roof and curve the front end to blend with the A pillar.

I prefer the original look and flow. Red A pillar, Black B pillar, Red Rear Pillar. Although I'm not a fan of the flat black finish. I've seen other cars with a flat black B pillar that looked pretty bad after a few years. I may paint with black gloss in the future.

Kind of biased toward the chrome, but I really like the look of the painted pillars! Go with the painted pillars!
