    Paint issue?

Well I went to remove the molding yesterday to give my Magnum a new clean look. When I removed the passenger door molding the paint under the molding was avery noticeble lighter shade than the door paint. Is this something that can be cleared up under warranty? I then just reapplied some 3m molding tape and reapplied the molding. Eventually I would like to remove them but it looks it will be with a custom paint job..

It just needs to fade into the rest of the paint.

You should be ok. You will notice some shading for a little while- then it will fade out. The only thing to worry about with removing the side moulding is bubbled paint. Many member (including me) had that issue, but even my bubbles have smoothed over time.

I would try leaving it off for a while. It could be moisture and should blend in within no time.

    Good luck

This is a pretty big difference, I'm having a hard time believing that it will darken up to match.. I'l just leave the molding on for now. thanks guys
