    P0340 code on 2008 SRT w/2600 miles.

coming into work this morning and saw a light come on and heard a chime, without looking I knew I would need to get gas soon and that that was it.

Noticed at lunch it was the motor light that was lit, did the code check and it says P0340 for the camshaft sensor circuit.

Any ideas on what would cause this? Only mod is a corsa catback.

Of course I hate that answer. Thats just like if you have a check engine light and when you go there its off so they wont work on your car.

Dealer failed the test of good service ,Just clearing code and could not dupilcate problem is such a cop out. Im sure they did not follow recomended service manual procedure(posted above) for trouble shooting. Most common intermittant electrical fault codes are loose pin connectors. If it happens again print these posts out and take them to the service manager and show him the dissatisfaction with his service and what his tech should look for. This approach is not easy as service managers dont like to be told their job , but sometimes it is the only way to really get your car fixed is to play hard ball.
