Outside temperature calibration

Is there a way to correct the outside temperature reading? Mine seems to read about 5 degrees high.

Just about everyone's is off that much. I tried to get mine re-calibrated by the dealer and he showed me a DM spec sheet that says it's normal to be 3-5 degrees off. Geesh!!!

I even took it in to anopther dealer while on a trip and the dummies calibrated my temp guage, not the outside guage - -someone couldn't read! :(
