Ok, A little pissed: Mustang owner downing LX cars.

Ok, yea I understand we dont drive fords, so what...but I had a friend (good guy) owned a mustang, meet him off the mustang forums, and everything, I treat him with alot of respect...Everything is cool. He is like 47-50 years old, Im 21, so he had alot more knowledge about draging and racing, and car improvements.

So, anyway today I am just browsing Streetfire.net, and I see my car, I said "WTF" I never posted a video of my car.

So I wanted to see what people had said, it was a 1/8 drag strip day, and my car was performing very bad that day, dont know why...but I only been racing 3-4 times. I am not a PRO.

Everyone is downing the chargers, "they are big pigs" and everything. I never gave him permission to post the video there, and he never asked me.

So I scroll down some more, and he is downing the LX vehicles, saying the the V6 mustangs, can beat the V8 cars just with a little work...most of the time he said chargers, but we(LX) all perform the same. He said that the V6 mustangs are comparable to the 5.7 LXers, and the GT mustangs are the match for SRTs, but its a drivers race.

I had a bad run, where I ran a 9.1, and the v6 mustang ran a 9.7 or something...Here is the video:

Now, he said my fastest time was a 9.0, when my fastest time was a 8.8, and he keeps on repeating that he runs 8.4s, when he doesnt...I never called him out...and have yet to say anything to him, but it has made me upset, because I never thought he would say those kind of things about our cars.

I dont know about you guys, but I have beaten ALOT of mustangs GTs.

This guy he has gears, intake chip and all the crap and runs low 13.3s...thats good, but he keeps on saying I run 14s...when I HAVE NEVER RAN the 1/4...

What should I do guys, not talk to him anymore or just leave it alone, and just act like it never happened...

But I got many of videos of me beating 06 and 07 mustangs GTs, I would race one tonight if I could find one...of course I cant beat one with alot of mods, something compared to what I have. But I think it is no fair. I see him all the time at car shows, and at the strip.

This is another thing, I beat him at the track one time, because he didnt have a good start, and he took that one off the internet...because everyone was talking about him and (Mustang GTs) and how chargers are hot, and all.... NOW, its nowhere to be found, but leaves up the one, where I get beat, and everyone talks about me, and he JOINS...

Another thing guys, I beat him from a roll one day, and never spoke of it again. Because I considered him a good car friend, and everything, and wouldnt want to put it in his face, I BEAT him evenly and I just made and excuse that he can hook next time. He said he is old and cant react quickly. YES his car is good with radicals and his gears from a stop, but from a roll, umm I beat him...but I didnt put that up on the internet so I can equally talk about him....Even our C6 friend saw this, and talks about it to this day, how I beat him. But we never TALK **** about mustangs, and everything that is bad about them on the internet. You dont do that to your (Car friend)

Damn this pisses me off, I considered him a friend. He is even on the V6 mustang forum saying that they can beat V8 5.7 hemis...Not just because of me, but he has beat other LX cars at the track that have rand mid 14s, or high 14s...He says mines if the fastest 5.7 he has seen, but the 5.7 are comparable to V6ers.

OH YEA, I beat a 07 mustang GT on the track, guess what...he took that off the internet also...

It wouldnt be so bad, if he was just some guy. But this was a car guy(friend) that helped me out with my car and everything. And we would stand up for the V8s at the track.

There just mad because our "pig" 4 doors are very lethal. I ate up modified GT's like nothing with the SRT, shezz.. there were time my wify's C (5.7) ate them on on the freeways and street ocational as well.. Don't get me wrong, there kinda fast... but not that freaking fast.. lol...

Exactly, he talks and says that a GT is a drivers race with a SRT...but he runs 13.3, with gears, radicals, intake, exhaust, chip and tune.

If I am not mistaken, SRT ususally high 12s. or very very low 13s.

i agree with hemmissey and mag06, i would let it slid and not worry to much about it, when you have a chance to meet up with him, just mention it causaul like with diplomacy and a chuckle, " did you happen to see a post of (blah blah) it sure made me chuckle, what are your thoughts?", your with the LX family and we know the truth. :-)
