    new style gauge pillar pods..................

Hey fellas, I emailed speed of sound and asked if they would be willing to make these kind of gauge pods for lx cars.

I am waiting for a responce back from them, but was interested if anyone else would like to have this kind of pillar pod? The more intrest they get the better chances for this to be made.

I like the looks of them, but would worry about those "smash and grabbers"

These look pretty easy to just rip off the pillar??

    Nice though

I am interested. Do they just attach in some way to the A-Pillar? Or is it a one piece unit in total that replaces the OEM? What about guages? It looks like only a certain type will fit it.

a one piece unit in total that replaces the OEM. Now these are only made for Mustangs, they DO NOT make them for any other car right now. But I am trying to get them to make some for the LX cars. They said it will cost them about 10K to produce a finished product from scratch.
However they said this center dash pod will work on our cars right now. see pic below

i don't like how the back of the pods doesnt seem to be molded in, at least from that angle, it looks like a pod was just super glued to an OAM pillar and then call a pillar pod.

I do like the chrome bezels tho.

Love the look... I would be in for sure. As for the Mustang style I cant say I would go that route as a plan B.
