    New CAI Install

This CAI goes through the hole the stock airbox goes through and snakes down behind the bumper cover. Benefits of this one is cold air at the source and no under hood heat. Heres some pics...................

Ummm, I didn't get any of those pics. I didnt remove the inner fender skirt. I just removed the engine splash shield underneath. A pain in the arse to install but worth it.

the easiest way to get in there is turn the wheel all the way left.
then pop the 3 or 4 rivets out of the fender well on the front side, and you can just peel the wheel well plastic back and get your arm in there.
its not wide open, but tehres plenty of room to get a hand and a wrench in tehre to tighten on a filter, and torque down any bolts.

takes 5 mins to get into, way easier than 10 bolts across the front of the bumper, along with the belly pan

What about water being sucked up in there? My cousin had an Acura Integra with a CAI setup like this. Sucked water into the engine. Got it fixed and it happened again.

Yep thats the only thing that worried me.............puddles, and rain. Try to keep it dry. Gotta figure a way to protect it better from water. As for V-6 guys 3.5 and 2.7 I dont know if you would benefit from it or not. Gets more fresh air and cooler air than a short ram. Cant hurt to try it, only problem might be the length of the air tube. Ahh try it anyway let us know.

I'm thinking about it. I have a cheap eBay intake right now might try to lengthen it some and see what I can do if I have any free time.

not sure i did not test the car on the dyno until i put it on. i would say yes because you are sucking air in from lower to the ground than from in your engine bay. i made mime my self and it was a lot cheaper that any CAI out there. when i first did with the tubing and the k&n cone filter i had only cost me only $80. then i bought the inner fooler for another $60.

that is the only scary part. you just need to be careful not to hammer on it too much when you hit puddles.
