Need advice. My AC is purging freon. Why?

I noticed that my charger has purged freon twice today. Also, noted during start up, even when the ac is on, it doesn't get cold right away like it used to before. Only when i rev it some it begins to get cold then it purges freon. What gives? I'm taking it in tomorrow, but i'd like to know what would cause this before hand. Thanks!

high pressure relief valve purging because of excessive high side pressure usually caused by inop cooling fans. do you have a fan mod? are you sure it's working properly?

fnkychkn, I knew you'd come to the rescue. Actually, I don't have a fan mod. The only thing I've done is programmed my shift points to 6200 as of yesterday. What are some things to check for?

Mine did that one day also....strange. Had it checked at the dealer and they said it was right on the freon mark.

Hasn't happened since that one day.

Not sure- mine happened like this:

Drove about 10 miles parked it for an hour or 2.
Started it to leave and while sitting in the parking lot to leave it blew off what appeared to be quite a bit. I shut it down, opened the hood and tried it again. It blew off a little again.

It was around 80 degrees so I left it off and drove home. Took it to the dealer and they found nothing wrong. Been driving it ever since (5-7K miles) without any further purging.

Are you also getting a funny buzzing/growling noise when you run the a/c, mine started to do this after it vented. The dealership has ordered a new compressor for me under warranty, I take the car in monday morn.

I think i know what the problem is. When my compressor engages i noticed the high fan is not kicking in. Usually i've noticed in the past that the high fan engages. What could this be? Fnky?

check fuses; #19 (50A), #22 (40A) & #24 (60A). all these fuses are in IPM (integrated power module/underhood fuse box).
