Talking My ride is finally 100% again... thanks Mr. Incredible.

Ok so I had some major issues last month...

You can read about them here....

Steering Wheel controls no working... weird display issue...

    But it started here...

Help! Getting P0700 code (resolved)<- now evic issue

The quick low down is that i did a no no w/ my predator, after a trip to the dealer and then Diablo Sport helping me out huge w/ a quick re-flash to my PCM and overnight shipping they got my car running again...

Johan put a generic flash on my PCM so some / most of my extras didn't work on my car, and the car didn't know what tranny it had etc.

Marc, Mr. Incredible, helped me get my hands on a StarMobile. He walked me through everything and even ended up remoting into the laptop controlling the starMobile, installing some updates I really needed (the stereo amp update is killer).

Marc did a throttle calibration... much more response at WOT... it's awesome (totally different than pulling the #11 fuse).

At one point Marc asks me if I've ever done 160 in my car... I said no and then this happens....

That's right 160, in park w/ the parking brake on @ 0 RPMs and the doors open.

The car is working perfectly, even better than before.

Thanks so much to Johan at Diablo for rushing my PCM back to me so that my car worked. Fnky and the rest of LXF who helped me out with answers and thoughts. Most of all thanks to Marc for getting me a StarMobile and taking so much time to help me out.

    Marc is the man!!!

So now with my car working properly I wonder if this will help shave any time off my ET??

    Cheers,
    Burleson

Good stuff. I can hardly click new posts without seeing a "Thank you Marc" thread. A truly indispensable and all around helpful guy. That's what everyone should aspire to be like in the LX community.

    Thanks DMAG,

and for the record with regards to Concussions issues..

since he updated his Diablo Crom without putting his car back to stock, then attempted to put his car back to stock with the updated CROM, he fubared his PCM.

Diablo re-wrote the PCM, but when installed it did not have the Vehicle Config Loaded and it had a VIN mis-match error.

All I did was to resend the Vehicle Config file to the car via the star scan thru Tech-Authority, and then re-validate the VIN.

additionally I updated all his out of date modules...

the trick was, Concussion is in North Carolina and I'm in California, so I used my www.gotomeeting.com account to remote into a laptop I sent to him that was configured with the Star Scan software.

Once he has my laptop and star scan online with his wireless network and connected to the car I was able to remote in and fix everything....

    -----------

    so education for the Masses..

Don't update your Diablo CROM file if you haven't put your car back to stock..

Dealership would have charged John well into $1000 for what I did in 20 minutes, I'm sure..

if you have a diablo you can go into the diagnostics screen (I think that is what it is called) and look at the CALID.. with your model year and that number I can look it up.
