    Mustang'er Owned by his own

We all love our cars and we all know how passionate Mustang owners are to the point of being highly arrogant (not all through just the A-holes). Now this guy (2007 4.0 V6 stang) claims to have killed a 300 Hemi and an Evo with only a throttle body spacer, CAI and Diablo. Says you have to factor in his 10' wide tires. (you need power to turn that much meat) Then hints that a new Tein suspension would make him, ah, faster? Huh?! Yeah I know...he gets cannibalized by his own crew...6 pages of crow. Enjoy!!!

    Hahaha
My brother's ex has a V6 Mustang. It ain't gonna beat a 300C anytime soon, even WITH the dreaded TB mod he has. LOL

    What an exhausting read.

I came across a post that had some kid claiming his stock S10 beat a "1963 383 Barracuda", and I gave him the laughy face smiley and called him on his BS.
The whole forum attacked, telling me he COULD HAVE beat a 1963 383 Barracuda- driver error, spinning tires etc ensured that I couldn't be SURE, and therefore I was an idiot.

I told them the first generation Barracudas never CAME with a 383, or ANY big block for that matter. 1967 was the first year the 383 was available in the Barracuda... and FURTHER, it would be hard to swap a 383 into a 1963 Barracuda.... because.....

    LOL

But he claims it's a 300 Hemi, yet it doesn't explain the Evo?

    Out the factory box HP:
    Maggie SXT = 250
    Mitz Evo = 271
    Stang 4.0 = 210

This guys CRACK is really good!! Must have got a lot on sale!

Unreal. If not for reasons like that guy, and the stigma attached to Mustang owners as a whole, I'd probably still frequent those forums.

The "kill stories" get very old, very quick. I've listened to folks with their 1991 GT (modded with Flowmasters like they ALL have) who claim to have laid the smack down on everything from Z06 Corvettes to Ferrari Modenas. The sickening part? When 95% of the forum gives the guy an "e-pat on the back", and actually BUYS the story!

My father-in-law (RIP) said something to me 10 years ago, and the more I think about it (especially lately), the more it rings true:

"You're NEVER going to be the fastest. There's always someone out there who is faster".

How true. I have a car which I think it impressive in terms of performance, but it took TONS of work and money to get that car where it is today. In stock form, our cars were slugs. Had we not replaced 90% of the factory components, the cars would STILL be slow as sin.

That's very true. At least some of the people there told him to race on the track, not the street. With great power comes great responsibility (not that he had that much power). A guy like him (meaning immature street-racer with more stickers than brains) needs the validation to feel "cool" or whatever. Much like Honda rice boy who wants to look like he's in F&F.

One thing though. There is a guy on Corvetteforum.com who has a 2400 HP C4... 6.87 in the 1/4...so maybe he's the fastest Vette!
Oh and it's street legal too. For your viewing pleasure:

Yes, they are. They are just examples of the car's power. I haven't seen any runs of it in the 1/4 and I believe the HP rating on those videos is "only" 1700 HP. Just listen to that turbo whine... damn.

that thread is soo typical of forums it seems these days.

here is the guys post about the eveo

Thanks for the welcome...ive also beat a evo8 HONESTLY, the guy didnt know how to launch it. I kept distance on him though from a dead stop...I know thats going to be a tough one to belive, I have witness's that were in the car though. I did loose to him on the freeway by about a car. It was a brand new car granted he didnt know how to launch it. BUT I welcomed that kill with open arms after he beat me on the freeway and put on his flashers. What you running with yours SPARTAN VI?

I hightlighted the parts that seemed missed by 80% of those posters. The guy is pretty clear as to why he "beat" the EVO8, Yet all he got was people calling BS. lol
