When will the war begin?
When will the war begin?
never? doubtful the CTS will ever have a V model for the wagon with the state of GM and restrictions placed upon it.

I'll disagree. This is Cadillac; GM can't afford to water that brand down or they'll start to sink even quicker.
At this point, sales are more important than anything else for GM, and since the government has a stake in the company, hammering them with restrictions is NOT going to be a priority.

WORD... saw this commercial last week... OMG its sooo hot!!! haha and its a Caddy...
Id imagine they will put the CTS-V motor in it... but probably not for a couple years... test the waters on the sales first...
either way... here is hoping it gets the 6.2L SC motor from the new CTS-V... 500 HP... WOOT!
Howell admits it will be a bit of an experiment offering a wagon in the U.S.where the segment is about 30,000 strong, whereas it is expected to be a slam dunk in Europe where half of the mid-size vehicles sold there are wagons, to the tune of about 250,000 annually. But tastes are ever-evolving and buyers are always seeking something new, Dean says, noting the trends from minivans to SUVs to crossovers. Asked about the failure of the Dodge Magnum to catch on with buyers, leading to the decision to kill it, Dean says the Magnum was a very large car, with polarizing style. The CTS wagon is a size smaller, and shares the popular design of the rest of the CTS family. As for a CTS-V wagon, executives smile and say it is an option.

I don't think it looks bad... but I feel like they ripped off the Magnum's tail end (aside from the tail lights).

That looks freaking brutal IMO. I'd take an MSRT over that any day, regardless of b
how much more aggressive a V model would look. That car sucks, plain and simple.

I love the cts v but that wagon looks to much like caddys smaller suv not the escalade just put onto a car frame. not feeling it. would much rather have a maggy.
I don't see it selling very well, the Magnum didn't sell well because it was large and the styling was controversial, and the Caddy is a more expensive and has pretty much love it or hate it styling in it's own right.

the windshield looks too sloped to me. Makes it look more like a crossover.
But if they ever did put the new V motor with a 6-speed manual, I could overlook the outward appearance.
Really, the Magnum isn't that large. In fact it's 1/2 inch more narrow and 6 inches shorter than my Intrepid was. It only looks large because of the unusually long (120") wheelbase. It creates the illusion that it's much longer than it actually is ... I think even the Charger is longer if I'm not mistaken....
I think it is fugly too.... it kinda looks like a malibu maxx in the last picture. just my $0.02
