    Low speed mygig?

I am looking into upgrading to a Mygig Nav w/sirius for my '06 Charger but I keep reading about "low speed" what is the difference? Is there a low speed and a high speed and is one better than the other? I would think low speed isnt good but I have no clue. Dumb question maybe but I need to know the answer, lol.

EDIT: I almost forgot to ask, I have a rear view camera for my REC, can I use that with any Mygig Nav version? I would be getting the lockpic for it.

I think it has to do with the CAN BUS Speed on the pre 08 cars. Not for certain though. So pre 08 would need the low speed vs the 08 and newer using the high speed. I may be completly wrong though.

I was just looking at coastaletech.com and it shows their lockpick for the Mygig has an audio/video harness that plugs into the back. It doesnt say anything about needing a camera port like on the REC Navs.

All LX vehicles use the low speed versions. 2008-2010 as well as the retrofit of 2005-2007. High speed versions are used in Nitro, Liberty, Wrangler, Ram 1500 & Minivans. It really doesn't make a whole lot of sense why they chose two different speeds. You can reference this list for the part numbers and which vehicles they are used in: http://www.wkjeeps.com/Mygig_parts.htm

Also, FYI, if you get a 2009 version, you can use the iPod interface with full iPod control from the MyGIG screens.
