Well for some time now I have had a problem with my auto headlights turning off at night while driving. which can be very dangerous. I still would have the manual option which I would have to quickly change before I would crash and blow up in flames.
well I think I am 90% sue I figured out the problem. It seems to be from my car audio two battery setup. I have a PAC 200 Amp relay wired off of my ign wire to charge my second Optimum yellow top. I had a thin ground wire that was rusting and wearing off of the post. It worked but it seems it would lose its connection for a brief second from bass or a bump or some times nothing and turn off then on again. I think this hiccup in the electrical voltage caused my lights to turn off. They would not come back on until you restarted the vehicle.
Well I have replaced the ground wire with a better connection and so far I have not had any problems for a few weeks now. So I hope this fixed it and maybe this can help you. Now if it happens again then I'm in really bad shape. I took it to the dealer and they said my light switch must have been shorted and they gave me the 2008 magnum push button knob light switch.
Also I had a check engine code U110A. Which is -LOST COMMUNICATION WITH SCCM - CAN - C Bus messages not received from the SCCM for approximately 2 to 5 seconds. That would make sense now that I think about it. So I pulled fuse 11 and so far no new codes.
