Loose Hood Struts Anyone??

I opened my hood the other day and one of the struts came loose on the fender mount. I made sure I slid the clip in place and continued to open and close the hood and it looks like every time I close it these "clips" move back to the release position. I tried to slide these clips in place with quite alot of force but they don't seem to snap in place. Wore out already? They have only been on for six months. Any ideas?? Thanks

Mine are doing the same thing. I assumed that it was because of the washer fluid hose on the passenger side and the hood release cable on the drivers side. They both are very close to the bottom clips

mine dothe same too, if I dont watch it closely I can actually hear them come off as im closing the hood. Kinda sucks, but still better than the factory hood rod
