lights /wipers on

I brought the car to the dealer to have my nav replaced and i asked them to enable my lights on with my wipers for me. they charged me $48 and said that they did it. i had previously did the freebee auto head light mod. thats why i wanted this done. anyway i drove to work this morning with the wipers on and the lights on in the auto position and the lights never came on. so either my car wont do it or the mechanic did something wrong. i was a little worried when i saw him testing his work in the work bay, of course the light are on dummy the car is inside.

I had the same issue when I tried to get this done. The excuse the service rep gave me was that since my car had auto headlamps (it didn't until I modded the knob) the "wipers on with headlamps" feature couldn't be enabled.
If someone out there does have the modded auto headlamps and the "wipers on with headlamps" enabled, please let us know how they did it!

I can't really help much, but I did the auto headlight mod and then the dealer set the headlights to come on when the wipers were turned on. Works great and they didn't even charged me for it.

I was charged $32 to enable the DRL's and wipers on/lights on feature. I did the mod to the switch but they didn't realize it. They said they couldn't do it because I didn't have autolights but when I moved the switch over, it took the tech less than 5 min. with the scanner to do it. Works great.

problem solved
my car had a dtc code stored because i installed a VES system to it, and i never nhad the dealer add it to the FCM. because of that error it wouldnt let me add the feature untill we cleared the code. we added the ves and enabled the wipers all is good we learned alot.
