Doesn't appear the folks at the Depot were sad to see him go either .

Yeah, this could get real spooky.

He did say that his first car was a Dart GT.

However, it'll be my guess that they are going to make chrysler take a good hard look at what they're producing, and start making smaller, more fuel efficient cars.

Its the 80's all over again! Soon we'll start seeing the 'new' dodge Omni, with parts sourced from the weirdest and cheapest parts of the globe.

    Or -

We'll start seeing the current product line with alternative powerplants, like diesels or hybrids, interspersed with rebadged vehicles that will come from some overseas alliance, no doubt.

One things for sure - the 'next 100 years' of chrysler is going to have to be something besides big trucks and minivans. I wonder if the SRT group is going to be on the chopping block?

I also wonder if this might mean any BIG BIG incentives on 07 models, or even leftover 06'es! (theyre still out there!)

Downstream marketing will talk to focus groups, Upstream marketing will talk to Engineers, and somewhere along the way, we will all find ourselves on the www.newKcarforums.com BBS posting about our 2011 Aries "K" Heritage edition R/T, and how it sucks that we are getting killed by the 2010 Chevy Malibu.

Maybe the board approved it after seeing the huge bigwig pay at HD...

Daimler still has 1/5 right? I wonder if they wanted that or were forced.

Tune in tomorrow... As The Wheel Turns!

(and pray for our Dodge/Chrysler buds)
