    LED Trunk Wing Installed

Just completed my latest mod...LED trunk wing...and whaduya know, it actually works.

Had an extra wing since I recently installed my new grip grille. So I started off by taking the wing off my old grille and experimenting with it. Well my experiment worked out well enough that it turned into an actual mod project.

Take a look. Sorry for the poor pics. Not only am I an amateur modder. I'm also an amateur photographer.

This is after my led strips were installed behind plexiglass and soldered all connections.

Since I would hate to install this and find out it doesn't work...battery test using a 9v battery.

Finished product installed. I think it took me as long to fish the wires through the trunk lid to the tail light as it took me to cut out the wing and solder the connections for my LEDs. It's almost impossible to take good night pics...flash kinda ruins the effect, but I think you get the idea.

Ended up connecting the wing to my tail lights. Thought about the break lights, but going through all this trouble, didn't want them to only be on when I break. Also decided against the blue LEDs which matched the rest of the car. Didn't want any hassles from "the man."
