Last chime skim???

Recently, after I start my C and start moving I hear a chime and the EVIC says last chime skim.
Does anyone know what this means

Sentry Key IMmmobilizer. It deters vehicle theft by immobilizing the engine if an attempt is made to start the car without a properly programmed key. Since you're moving, I assume it's working properly. If your key battery was low you would get an RKE Battery Low message (Remote Key Entry). Perhaps the SKIM module has failed diagnostics.

Could it have something to do with the remote starter I had installed (non factory but it works with the remotes on my key?

I have the MOPAR remote starter and it has it's own separate key fob...



When I use it, I get a RKE Battery Low message that clears when I insert the key and turn to on. Since yours is aftermarket, you probably have a SKIM Bypass Module that allows the car to start with the aftermarket remote start. Once it's started, the car realizes that it started without the SKIM and gives you the code.

I don't remember which one I got. I had posted a thread with the name of it when I received it for Xmas. But it was purchased and installed at AutoImage in East Brunswick, NJ. http://www.autoimagegroup.com/ I'm sure that they could tell you which one was installed in my 300C
