Just a pat on the back

for all the guys giving their two cents on this message board. Ive looked long and far for crap on the internet concerning this car and somehow missed this site. I tell you, it really is a pain HAVING a 2005 car (i got it in July) and HAVING zero information / people to discuss it with. Most dudes try to give me garbage about being 23 and driving a station wagon (jealousy for the SHOW stopper), most girls get in my station wagon and giggle like crazy about how much they love it (and they like the leather on their heinies). Bottom line, its nice to see some stuff about this car on the internet.

And you should all thank Al Gore for inventing the internet.

Send some of those giggly girls my way! Seriously, I cannot agree with you more. This forum has the best of all worlds to tap into: The LX Builders, the aftermarket providers, the wrenchheads, the haulers, those who want much bling and those who want retro. It is a cool place to hang around, visit daily!

I got crap too about being young and HAVING a station wagon too (got mine in June when i was 24). Then they took a ride in it and they all love it.

I was lucky and found this place before i got the car in my four week catatonic daze of deciding i was getting one and buying it/waiting for it to arrive at the dealership. Plus I am really enjoying all the good info now that the first wave of aftermarket parts is hitting the market.

And yeah HAVING a 2005 car that early in the year was kind of a pain. I remember going to an auto parts store to get an oil filter for my first oil change and the two 20 somethings behind the counter were scratching their head and saying "how can you car be a 2005 it's only 2004" Then they told me to go back to the dealership to CHECK it out like i was some sort of an idiot that doesn't know the model year of my car.

Yeah, I get razzed for HAVING a wagon too, but since I'm almost 30, people say "hey...you had to get a family car, eh?" If it is a friend razzing me, I usually let him drive it, and then I get razzed no more. I may have the storage of a family car, but it's got more oomph that a lot of sports cars! I guess I can have my cake and eat it too!

My 18 year old son wants to trade his mint 1972 Buick Riviera for my black RT. My daughter (16) loves her 1975 Beetle, but is always asking to borrow the Magnum. Nuff said!

Hey Zog...I hope you told your kids no! Last time I let my daughter drive my car (it was a '95 Mustang GT, Yellow, convertible, leather, the whole package) I traded it for an insurance check! When I got the Magnum I've let each of them drive it once around the block...but no more....
