    It's an Automotive conspriracy I tell ya!

    After getting ran off the road by a teen female mouth breather w/ a cell phone stuck in her ear, which bottomed out my Maganum...... I start getting a squeak in the suspension, so I schedule a visit to the shop.

    I borrow my brothers Blazer to drive for a day and either the intake or head gasket lets go (need to run a compression check), and I get a nice plume of the smoke following me home from work.

    So I get a loaner car from the Dodge dealer my car is being repaired at. Their loaners are the cheapest used cars on the back of the lot. I get a '96 Intrepid w/ 106k miles. Really not a bad car. Drove it home, no problem. Drive it to work and see a little puff of smoke/steam and smell a little oil. I just figure leaky valve cover. Drive home and hear sizzling under the hood w/ more steam. Open the hood and there is a pinhole in the coolant recovery bottle spraying the exhaust manifold!!!

    I'm gonna get a bicycle to ride from now on!!


    P.S. Maganum had the ball joint cover ripped off which let out the grease. They also found the left tie rod was getting worn/sloppy, so they are going to do that while it is there...........

    Great news for the folks over at Schwin and Huffy - they'll be letting the air outta your tires when you aren't looking. Then they'll loosen the handlebars and seat.

    Got the Maganum back today......

    They showed me the ball joint, the rubber was completely ripped in half!

    After two days of driving a '96 Intrepid, reminds me all over again of how well the Maganum rides......... I'd much rather drive around a corner than have the front wheels pull me around.
