Question Important EXHAUST question! - HELP!?

I have a 5.7 300C and have found an awesome deal on a Zoomer exhaust which was designed for the 6.1 300C SRT8.

Is is possible to use this exhaust on my 5.7 setup?? I know the pipe diameters are different (2.5" vs. 3.0").

But is there a way to mate these up?? Any potential issues with running the larger pipe on the 5.7 Hemi?? If anybody here has done this please let me know!

Please you exhaust techs, chime in here ASAP, as I only have a small amount of time to say yes or no to the deal!!

    Thanks!!

Say yes and if it does'nt work sell it. You'll get your money back. I think you would only have to replace the cats for a 3" outlet and you are good to go. May have to rearrange the hangars too.

You should PM Aperformance for information. He is the Zoomers manufacturer and can answer all your questions.

I can't think of a reason in the world to change the cats. The zoomers system isn't a Catback. It's an Xpipe back. I'd say yes, you could use them. Any muffler shop worth going to could get them installed. May not be a bolt up, but they could make them work.

It is a catback. It replaces from the CATBACK. But if I'm not mistaken the R/T Magnum cat output is 2.25". This is a 3" system he wants. I said replace the cats with cats that have a 3" output.

I also heard it was an X-pipe back system, not really cat-back (could be different for the SRT-8?).

Any muffler shop should make it work without a problem, but i dont know if you will get a larger performance gain (because of the diameter), maybe just more drone. I wouldnt recomend putting a 3" exhaust on it, only because there is not enough flow to require the 3" piping.. Maybe after you change the cylinder heads and cam and bump up the compression.

If its a good deal, take it.
