Yup. I put in the magnets, set up the Tornado, added the acetone, chanted like the web site said and I am saving 5% on my gas.

OK not really. Thats BS.

But I am saving 5% off of every gas purchase. The best part is its a real deal with no BS. Here's the deal:

Shell Oil -- a Top Tier fuel -- has a deal going with Citibank. Its your basic Mastercard, but the trick is you get 5% back on all of your purchases of Shell gas. They tally up your purchases at the end of the month and take that amount off your next bill.

For me, since I drive about 75,000 miles a year, that gives me about $35 per month. For you it will almost surely be less, but hey... its money back, right? So long as you use it strictly as a gas card and pay it off every month you'll wind up paying a hair less than Costco gas and you'll be putting a Top Tier fuel into the tank (today the price was 1 cent lower than Costco, with the rebate).

we have that with our AAA visa, but, it didn't last to long, first 6 months we saved 5%, after that we have to spend about $600 on fuel a month to get any discount, with the prices going up again... that shouldn't be to hard to do...

Gotta agree with the bunny, same here. I LOVE my discover card PLUS its even 5% off when you fill up at SAM'S Club, which is equal in cost to AM/PM prices.

And 5% off for food and restaurants.

Gotta love that, they save you money when you fill up BOTH tanks!

Well crap. Thats news to me. Thanks for the tips guys. I have all the cards I want and my regular route is pretty well scouted for Shell stations, but that can help somebody else maybe.

One nice thing seems to be that Shell is among the lowest priced gases out there at some of its stations. I've seen regular at 3.17 at two stations along my route (one of which is a block from my house) and thats like 10 cents off the price the other top tier types are selling.
