    I'm PISSED.

    Damn cell phones........

    This morning on my way to work I got broad sided.

    by an 8 year old kid on a bicycle.

    This kid was riding his bicycle and talking on a cell phone, he ran the red light and smacked into the front tire of my car. Fortunatly I saw him coming and stopped short, but not short enough.

    dumb ass kid, dumb ass parents,

    Called the cops, and the kids parents, no way I'm getting sued or blamed for this.

    Police cited the kid (or his parents not sure which) for running a red light, not wearing a bicycle helmet, and illegally crossing an intersection.

    Excellent!!!! WTG on calling the cops... perhaps (although i doubt it) the parents will have learned something from this. Crackberries and cell phones!!!! Man this generation and the next are addicted.

    Um, How's the kid? Not for nuthin' but as much as I would hate my car damaged I would hate even more seeing a kid get hurt no matter who's at fault.

    The Magnum has a soul. It has a personality, something all too lacking in the automotive transportation appliances everybody else is offering.

    kid's fine, at least he was when I left, I was stopped he hit my right front tire, he saw me at the last second and panic braked, you know put his feet on the ground and slid into the tire. He wasn't moving very fast, and damage to the car isn't what pisses me off, it's him being on the cell phone and not paying attention to what's going on around him, especially in morning traffic. Guess where he probably learned that?

    Darn kids, they know you're supposed to use your hands-free cellphone when riding your bike. Especially at 8 years old . . .

    I think all the new high-end kids bikes nowadays are equipped with Bluetooth so, if he had one of those, there really was no excuse.
