    Hyperpac

Well, Spiketv is just full of new stuff today. They just showed a portable diagnostic and performance monitor called the Hyperpac. Reminds me of the systems for diesel trucks like the one from Bully Dog. They say it will tell you your horsepower at the engine and the wheels. Check it out at http://www.hypertech.com/

Looks kind of neat but at 699$ for the Dodge Hemi truck version it sure seems limited on what it can do other than show you HP info. Doesn't do Shiftpoints/Firmness nor Tire Size.

It would be interesting to see how accurate it is on the HP when compared to an actual dyno. But still a little on the $$$ side for me.

I have the Hyperpac for my Ram. Totally wish I'd bought the Superchip. The hp feature isn't very accurate, 120 more hp than Mustang dyno! Thing is so bulky that if you mount on windshield its dangerously restricting vision. Worst of all , no way to adjust tranny tq management. Their propaganda is bs. Instaled mine on dyno, no hp or tq improvement. The SC on my RT gave a lot more tq and 4hp. The Hyperpac will not give you any better mileage or performance imho. The SC knocked .2 off my 60' time ! One works the other is an expensive gimick.
