    How to store wheels/tires?

What the best way to store wheels/tires when not in use? I'm thinking of just stacking them up in the corner of the garage with some cardboard between each one to prevent scratching. Should I cover them with anything? Raise them up off the concrete floor? Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks.

When I stored mine in the past couple 2x4's set first tire down flat, front floor mat, second tire down flat, floormat... you get idea.

Then drapped an old moving blanket around the whole stack more for looks and to keep dust from settling.

One Garage I had I did a double stack of two tires with moving blanket and a sheet of 5/8 ply on the top as a "counter" for placing things while I was working on this or that.

Storing tires........a ritual I hate living in MN.
All the above is solid advice.

Be sure to wash them up real good before you store them.
It's also nice put your favorite tire dressing on them and put a good coat of wax on the wheels too. This way they are all set to go when you want to put them on the car again.

Nope leave them dirty, that way you will have something exciting to do in the spring time. You are more motivated in spring than Autumn.

Seriously, i put mine down on top of 2x4's with rubber on top. Each wheel is in one of those cheap Goodyear tire bags.
