How responsible should a speed shop be for your build? ( built engine last 500 miles)

Especially if the shop offers a 12 month warranty. Which I'm not sure what that's worth if the builder doesn't stand behind his work. Anyone ever have this problem? Guess I need some advice.

Well if the shop offers 12 months warranty I don't know what the questin really is, you already know. Full responsibility.

So what seems to be the exact problem?

They should back up their work 100%. Reputation is everything, even if it costs you.
From wild to extra wild we got you covered with crap ya never knew you needed.

The first 6.1 transformation and it all went down hill from there.

The problem?? Where to start.. First he tried to say it was my AAC Halos-even though I heard a clunk and sounds of metal passing underneath my feet. Then he said that for
all he knew I could have been driving it too hard. It was a forged 426! I didn't drive it any harder than my stock 6.1. Not only was I stuck paying off
my credit cards from the build and all the mods I had done before I also had to payoff Chrysler. I had GAP insurance, it doesn't cover pre-existing damage. I.E. a destroyed shortblock from broken rods. So Chrylser wanted the $6,500 payoff asap. The car was a total loss after burning tothe ground. I gave him months to make the situation right and he never did.

Yes I do. Anyone know of a good one. By the time I paid off Chrysler it dropped my credit score from 800+ to below 650.

On the headers to the best of my knowledge. There were SO many problems before this even happened. Heads ported through, destroyed tranny from a TC installed incorrectly, and leaking valve covers.

It's funny that everyone knows about this. Even Lingenfelter knew about his. I got so tired of answering questions and defending the guy. People need to stick to reputable shops. I LEARNED THE HARD WAY.

Motor build burned down your car? Please explain. Also - all parts purchased new through said shop? I mean, you'd only be like the 8th car-b-q courtesy of AAC, that's possible... But we need more facts!

THE fire didn't start in the front fascia, it started dead center of the engine. The insurance company did a full investigation and came to the conclusion that it was rods 7&8 I believe. The builders record proceeds him.
