    Cool HEMI Powered Sled

So, winter time is upon us, here in Chitown, and with that all the fun. (no power since 2am till about 8am...and no sleep as well....laid down and bam power went out...grrr)

In any case, car was under some heavy duty puff cover...so i gained access to the drivers door...started it...let it warm up as i uncovered the car...

Some time later i was out of my driveway and circled the side streets to get a feel for handling ,etc.

Drove to work with no problems and here i am...

All i can say is that if i didn't have snow tires i'd be screwed...1st and 2nd gear are useless for the most part...3rd is ok, altough i managed to get the rear end loose a few times on the highway...i felt best in 4th and rode in that for the most part.

With the driveshaft fixed car pulls right away and makes for an interesting time.
But overall car feels solid in the snow, and follows my lead (and that at times may be a bit confusing). Snow tires are a good thing!

ahh shaddup! yeah motor, winters are a huge thing. the Quebec government just made them mandatory, which is why there was such a shortage this year. we havent gotten anything heavy yet, just 3 or 4 inches of snow and nothing that lasts.

    I hear ya Motor!

I'm so glad I ditched the OEM tires. I was all over the place with them the first two winters I had the car.

That said I may have to pony up the monies for a higher dry performance winter tire when I wear my current set out as the Winterforces are really making me miss my summer tires.

Gonna try to keep the Charger in the garage as much as possible this year..... Yea, we'll see how long that will last.

Just not gonna make it anywhere this year and I know it, so I really gotta try and keep her tucked away. Since last winter, Ive lowered it significantly, added a lot of horsepower, and dont have my stock wheels to put on anymore.....

I am SO impressed with winter tires, it's like driving a different car! Although, I noticed I am MUCH lighter on the gas peddle now. After seeing what the right foot can do to a set of rear tires, I'm am trying my damnedest to make these tires last for more than a season.

With a predator can you make your car a wuss? Maybe I should invent a winter tune that makes the car drive like the 2.7's (lol)

Good thing wheelspin is not a problem for you due to lack of horsepower!

No real snow in my area yet, but I think I'll put the cop wheels/snows on either the end of this week or begining of next week. Se how we do this year...

I didn't realize so many drove their cars year around. You guys could never be accused of being "fair Weather" drivers such as myself.I have to say though Switching from my R/T to a 99' Astro van is a shock to the system.
