    help.... void warranty or not

    i want to paint my complete dash but not to sure if it will kill my warranty or not....i got the extended warranty and don't want to ruin it. i know my airbag is under there and thats what i think will mess it up.........what should i do

    I do not see why it would. It would have to directly affect the dash or airbag for it to void your warranty. That is the law. BTW..Nice touch on the painting thus far!

    You mean the actual dash pad? IMHO, it looks better now!!!! But as far as warranty, you'll void warranty against any cracking, peeling, bubbling, etc. of any of the parts you paint. Otherwise, you're still good.

    i agree, i love the way it looks now but the dash doesnt match anymore, i painted the door panels and now it needs to be done to match but ive been putting it off cause its so much work

    How did you paint those? What did you use to smooth them out?

    To Do --> Low profile mirrors, 2 door conversion, shaved tail lights and then flush mounting them to the lift gate,
    custom paint.

    i had to take the door panel completely apart which includes busting all plastic welds from behind the door panel. strip the vinyl cover from the upper panel off,( which is now white). and completely sand all the pieces to a smooth finish. !!!!!!!!! make sure to use a adhesion promoter on all pieces before you primer. when priming, make sure to us a flex additive in the primer. block, base then clear, (use the flex additive in the clear as well). plastic weld back together. ill post pick when i find them

    i would fiberglass the dash then paint it. if you always had to take it off then your good. never know what the stealership will say.
